Cecile Druzba Tribute

On March 22, 2019, our beloved friend and former Middleton Endowment Board Member, Cecile Druzba, was taken from us in a tragic car accident. She was 57 years old. She left behind a grieving husband, Matt; three children, Sierra, Cole and Madison, as well as an extended circle of heartbroken family and friends.

Cecile represented what it meant to be a Middleton Good Neighbor. During her time here, she was an active and vibrant part of our Middleton community. Through her work at the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, Cecile displayed her natural gift for connecting people and supporting the city’s business community and charities.

She was an active board member for many years at Middleton Endowment; volunteered for Middleton Outreach Ministry; and took every opportunity to make life better for others, all while she and Matt were raising three children. Their home was a neighborhood destination. Passing neighbors were routinely invited in for coffee or dinner. She walked everywhere and never missed an opportunity to connect with the people she met along the way.

Cecile was a true mama bear. She loved kids. All kids. She pushed them to do their best and make good decisions. To honor her contributions to the community and recognize her dedication to children, Middleton Endowment has created The Cecile Druzba Memorial Scholarship, which will be awarded annually to a deserving Middleton High School student. Tributes made to Middleton Endowment in Cecile’s name will go to the general fund.
