Where to Give

At Aldo Leopold Nature Center, the Wonder Bugs preschool program blends outdoor adventure with learning and school readiness.

MCF is here to help you do your charitable giving, your way. You can give to an existing fund, start your own fund, or leave a gift in your will or estate plan.

Community Impact

The Community Impact Fund pools gifts together for greater impact in the Madison area. It is the source of MCF’s grantmaking and gives MCF maximum flexibility to respond to the community’s greatest assets and opportunities today, tomorrow, and for generations to come. The fund supports grantmaking in MCF’s five focus areas: Arts & Culture, Community Development, Environment, Learning and Nonprofit Capacity Building.

Field of Interest

This type of giving allows donors to identify and support an area of interest that is broader in scope than MCF's Community Impact grantmaking. Field of Interest fund grantmaking includes social services, the elderly, children and youth, community and neighborhood development, and women and girls. Donors may also support a more specific focus area by starting their own Field of Interest Fund.

Leave a legacy gift

I think anyone who decides to invest in Madison Community Foundation should know that those of us who are doing it now do it because we have absolute confidence in the people who will be making decisions that our wishes will be carried out.”
- Carol Toussaint, donor, Legacy Society member
