Congratulations on receiving an MCF grant. Please know that we are here to support you as you implement your project and would love to help celebrate your project success through social media and other communication channels moving forward.

Our MCF Staff is Here for You

As you proceed, please keep us apprised of your progress and any updates or changes. Should you have any questions about grant logistics, distribution, or evaluation, please feel free to contact us. When time allows, MCF staff will try to join you for project events, including groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and other important project milestones. See below for resources to support you as you implement your grant.

Requesting Grant Funds

Once your signed contract has been returned, you may subsequently request grant payment at any time during the project. To do so, email Angela Davis with both the grant numberand amount requested. Requests received by the 15th of the month will be mailed on the last day of the month.

For Endowment Challenge Grants only: Awarded funds will be transferred to your MCF endowment once you have raised at least half of your challenge. MCF will provide half of the matching funds once you have reached the half-way mark of your endowment challenge campaign. All remaining funds will be transferred once you reach 100% of the match.

Communicating Your Grant

Madison Community Foundation is honored to support your organization and your ongoing work to build stronger communities in Dane County. We encourage you to seize this opportunity to raise awareness about your grant, your programs, and your organization. Contact MCF's Communications Director, Becki Fiegel, with any questions.

Grant Evaluation Report

The grant evaluation is based upon the measurable outcomes and budget from your original proposal. We are interested in learning about your process, your successes, and your challenges. A good report is candid, provides lessons learned for both the agency and MCF, and helps inform the work we do with future applicants. Electronic images from the project are also helpful, as we use these with donors, on social media, and in promotional materials.
