Partnering for Impact
A Fund for Women and six Regional Giving Partners partner with Madison Community Foundation to serve donors who support specific local communities and causes.
People with similar charitable interests can pool their resources to achieve greater collective impact. MCF’s giving partners have awarded more than $1.2 million to local causes, with combined assets of nearly $3 million.
A Fund for Women
In 1993, Madison Community Foundation brought together 100 women and challenged them to address equity for women and girls. They each gave $1,000 to form A Fund for Women. In 2018, A Fund for Women awarded over $100,000 to five nonprofits dedicated to economic security for women and girls in Dane County.

Regional Giving Partners
The communities of Columbus, Lodi, Middleton, Monona, Portage and Rio partner with Madison Community Foundation to support programs unique to those communities, such as schools, parks and community centers. Each partner is represented by an advisory committee of residents from that community, which raises resources and recommends gifts from their endowments. Regional giving partners work with MCF to maximize their earnings, secure principal and minimize administrative costs.
