History of Middleton Endowment

Middleton Endowment originated as the Middleton Community Foundation in 1991. It was established by Mayor Dan Ramsey with $25,000 in resources. From 1991-2007, the Foundation supported many worthwhile activities and grew its assets to $32,000.

In 2007, recognizing the administrative challenges of operating a foundation and the opportunity to grow the endowment, the Foundation accepted a $50,000 challenge grant from Madison Community Foundation. In partnership with MCF, the fund's assets have grown to approximately $220,000 and are now managed by MCF for the benefit of the Middleton community.

Many businesses and individuals are overwhelmed with charitable giving requests. This often leads to paralysis and less charitable giving. I find comfort in making donations to the Middleton Endowment knowing that the funds will be held in perpetuity for the benefit of the entire community.”
